Pray for Japan - Day 1 God's Plan for our Family

When we first started planning for this time of prayer, Jeff and I were going to lead you into prayer solely for Japan and the Japanese people. They're the heart of this whole venture anyhow, right? Instead, just as God works in the lives and hearts of mission team members as much as those country-people who receive them, God has been laboring in our hearts much more than we expected. It is for this reason, and the wisdom of those who have gone before us, that we humbly ask for your prayer for our family and funding as you also pray for Japan. Starting today and for the next 9 days, we will send a prayer theme, quick background, Bible verse and specific prayer requests. Thank you for joining us. May God bless this time of prayer.

Today, may we start by praying for God's plan for our family in Japan. Please pray for Jeff and I that we may trust in His power and wisdom to provide and guide us through all the challenges we will face, both before and after we depart. Please pray that His plans may prevail despite our best efforts to thwart them. Please pray that our hearts and minds may align with His so that we may take joy in His work and not labor in anguish. And finally, please pray that our obedience and our work will spread love to the Japanese and change lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
