Pray for Japan - Day 6 - Mason

Updated: Jan 20, 2021

Thanks for embarking on this journey of 10 days of prayer for Japan with us! We know that God needs to be at the center of all we do. He is the reason we are going to Japan in the first place! We want to cover the nation of Japan in prayer. Although sometimes it's hard to ask for it ourselves, our family also needs prayer as we begin to make final preparations for our move to Japan.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Joshua 1:9

For our sixth day, we'd like to humbly ask for prayer for our 7-year-old son, Mason. Mason wrote out his prayer requests:

  • Please pray for help deciding what to bring to Japan and what not to. I feel like it's a lot of work to decide.

  • Please pray for help with learning Japanese. I'm currently learning how to write different characters, but I don't know where to write the ten-ten marks. I'm scared to go because I am still learning the language and I won't know what people are saying yet.

  • Please pray for my schooling. I feel like I won't know as much as the other kids in school, since they went to kindergarten and 1st grade in Japan and I didn't.

  • Please pray for help to not be too loud, as I'm told the walls in Japan are thin and some are made out of paper. I don't want to bother our neighbors.

  • Please pray for new friends in Japan. I worry I will be lonely because I haven't made any friends yet.
