Summertime Ministry
We have now been in our home in Yokohama for just over one year, and Japan for two and a half years. We are so thankful for God's blessings upon our family and all that He provides, which includes each of you! Ministry can be slow in Japan, but we see God at work, and we are so thankful to partner with you in that ministry!
Serving with the Lighthouse short-term missions team
Updates & Praise:
We had a wonderful time serving with our home church Lighthouse's short-term missions team in late July/early August! It was a blessing to serve the children (and their parents) who came to the events at Azamino Chapel and Saiwaicho Christ Church!
Praise God for a good time of fellowship with Japanese pastors, church members, missionaries, and their families at our church association's 60th anniversary event up north in Sendai.
Praise God for providing a place for us to stay in Washington during our home assignment early next year!
We're thankful for a great time together during Malia's mom's visit to Japan in August, including a first-time trip to Hokkaido. A typhoon required us to push back the dates last minute, but praise God for a safe trip!
Mason and Kaili returned to school this month following summer break. Elijah is chatting up a storm!
Prayer:
Please pray for the children and parents who came to our summer events, that they would find the church a welcoming community and that the seeds of the Gospel would take root and grow.
Please continue to pray for God's wisdom and direction for a new location for Azamino Chapel's worship service and ministry.
Please pray for rest and recovery for our family, as ministry, language learning, and life in Japan has weighed on us.
We will be returning to the States for our first home assignment January to March 2025. We'll spend most of our time in Washington, but will also visit Oregon, California, Hawaii, and possibly Colorado. Please be in prayer for the preparations.

We would love to hear from you, whether it be to share your prayer requests or to simply catch up. Please know that we think of you and pray for you often.
Thanks and blessings,
The Walkers
Jeff, Malia, Mason, Kaili, and Elijah
