True Hope
On this election day in the U.S., there are many things to be anxious or nervous about. However, we remember that no politician is perfect. Our hope cannot rest in our government. Instead, we hold fast to the fact that we believe in a God who is above all human institutions. It's only in Jesus that we can place our true hope and faith. In that vein, we continue to place our hope and faith in Jesus that He is with us and guiding our family on this path to Japan. About this time at the end of 2019, we ran a campaign (sorry, I know, it's political season) for 10 days of prayer for Japan. We would like to do the same this year, and are preparing a similar campaign for December to lift up Japan in prayer. More details to come. Please join us!
Update: Our monthly support officially sits at about 64%. We are still hoping to reach 70% support this month so we can begin the visa application process. Jeff is preparing to step away from his pharmacist job completely by the end of the year.
Praise: Praise God for continued connections with individuals, including new supporters. We also give thanks that we've been able to largely stay healthy during this global pandemic.
Prayer: Please pray for Mason as he continues with remote learning for 2nd grade. There have been some struggles with focus and completing assignments. Please also pray for Jeff's transition away from his pharmacist job and into full-time partnership development. We would also appreciate prayers for Malia to find some part-time or per diem physical therapy work to get her necessary 200 hours before we move to Japan. Our ongoing partnership development and support raising remains a prayer request.
We would love to hear from you, whether it be to share your prayer requests or to schedule a Zoom meeting so we can catch up and share more details of our plans with you. Please know that we think of you and pray for you often.
Thanks and blessings,
The Walkers
Jeff, Malia, Mason & Kaili
